Carys has once again gone missing

She wasn't waiting for breakfast, this morning. I took out the trash last night so if she slipped out it was then. I last remember seeing her at dinner. I took out the trash just before dark. Funny thing - I was walking around the yard, making a mental note of what else I need to do, when I heard a loud meow. Just one. Now I wonder if Carys found her mom.

So, as soon as it is light outside I'll be feeding the ferals. Maybe I'll see her?? Meanwhile I just keep listening and looking but I think the odds of her being in the house are small, given she wasn't waiting for breakfast.

Honestly, this is exhausting. I had a not so good day, yesterday, and was both distracted and exhausted last night so this is just the topper.

One Madoc got out and he was terrified. Gryff wanted to play with the ferals, once, but he was easily rounded up.

Sophie ventured out just once. Through the laundry room window. We were doing some plumbing work and emptying water out the window. I heard these LOUD meows and found her on the 2" ledge, outside of the window. Terrified. I had to go outside and pick her up.

If I find her and get her back inside I'm going to be ultra careful, from this point on. Well, I thought I was being ultra careful. More the fool, me.

ferals go missing. They would be there every day for months, getting a bite to eat, then poof ... gone. It's frustrating and also heart breaking at the same time. I certainly hope that Carys finds her way home.

I also took a walk around the house. Nada.

Now I'm wondering if she's hiding in the garage. I'll put some food and water in the garage and wait to do the mowing.

Meanwhile, I'm listening for strange noises in case she's gotten herself stuck somewhere.

She slipped out on to the enclosed porch and that's where she spent the night. She was snuggled down in the kitten barn.

She ate a good breakfast and is now playing with the whiffle ball. She hasn't done that since her siblings left so I take it as a good sign.

I wonder if I can buy a collar with a GPS locater.

She may have found a good hiding spot in the house but if she got out, you may be able to catch her again, especially when the cold weather gets there and she weighs the world inside with the world outside.

If she's in the house, he might be the key to finding her.

Meanwhile I'll put food and water in the garage, just in case that's where she is.

Is there anyway to put a tracking device on her when she gets her shots?

Maybe a little collar with an air tag and bell on it?
