Related: About this forumToday is most definitely a good day for snuggles
As is most apparent by the state of my sweatshirt. Earlier it was Madoc. Now it's Arthur's turn.
Gryff and Carys are snuggling at the kitchen window, doing some bird watching.

(92,779 posts)Going on with the kitties. Arthur and Madoc are obviously siblings of the same mother and seem to recognize that by spending more time together than with Gryff. With Carys in need to an elder to comfort and guide her, Gryff has taken her under his wing and now both older kitties have an apprentice to guide them in housecat lifestyle.
You have great crop of kitties there.
Mikey is going to his other home on Tuesday. He has nothing to do here now that there is eight to ten inches, plus drifting, of snow on the ground and has taken to bad behavior outside. He has become the storm drain troll! And I can't keep him from going down in there, it's too dangerous and gross but he thinks it's the new location's version of the underground irrigation ditch network that we had at the old place. He didn't find it until he saw the rival kitties going in there. We didn't have a real street at the old place either, just a one lane, paved decades ago, lane down to the ends of our driveways, barely any traffic and slow at that.
His other home is a ways up from the dirt road and has no storm drains anywhere near. The house there is 3X larger than my place and he can safely be outside during the day. His other mom keeps him in at night during the cold months but she doesn't feed him well so we had a long talk about his dietary needs which she agreed to. I told her what and how much he needs every day, she grimaced but wants to keep him healthy so agreed to keep up the prescribed diet I give her. She'll be having surgery in Jan or Feb so he'll be back here for a few weeks after that but I'll take him back until it gets warm enough to leave the door open here, then he can come back because there will be other places to go that are not the storm drain and I'll be outside planting shit around the house foundation. He stays right there with me when I'm gardening.
Anyway, I love the way the older boys are mentoring the the younger kitties, they're so sweet!
*sigh*
