(358 posts)Thats a cutie pie if Ive ever seen one. Id never be able to foster cats because Id never want to let them go. Kinda why I have 10+1 at the moment. 😂

(27,287 posts)I lost Boudicca when she was about 12. Then I found Madoc's litter. Lost one but found a home for 2. I had fallen in love with Madoc's sad little face so I was at 2, again. Then Sophie died and I got Gryff to be Madoc's brother.
Then I found Arthur's litter. I absolutely fell in love with him from the moment I saw him, which was the day he was born. Originally I counted 5 but within a day or so there were only 4. At 3 weeks I had to grab the kittens because they had bad eye infections and they were all underweight. That meant lots of sleepless nights with the constant feedings but all 4 thrived. Found homes for his siblings and thought OK, I can handle 3. Then I found Carys and her siblings. Fortunately I found homes for her brother and sister. I thought I found a home for Carys but they backed out.
I now realize I can easily handle 4.
I'm trying to find an affordable TNR group to help me with the ferals so that I can enjoy the ones that are here without the added 'bonus' of finding more kittens.

(27,287 posts)I've never had a kitten like Carys, who is so reluctant to socialize with humans. But the important thing is she is accepted by all of the boys. AND she is getting a little more comfortable with me.
My car is finally ready so HOPEFULLY I can get her to the vet, this week. I will probably have to catch her and put her in the playpen overnight. That way it will be easier to get her in the carrier, first thing in the morning. The vet opens at 8, first come first serve, so I like to get to the parking lot by 7:45. We'll get her vaccinations started and schedule her spaying.

I just did my morning fuzzy tummy with my big boy. He's such a cat, every morning when I get up he plops in my spot on the bed with his head on my pillow & his belly up so he can get fuzzy tummy rubs. It's a nice way to start the day, for both of us.
