(18,940 posts)As I described. If it had worked Id never ask. Weird little glitch because its always worked before. Ive tried here more than 20 times and I cant make it hidden to save my life. Rather, its marked hidden but is actually not. Hence the request.
Kitty on good people. Thanks for your consideration.

Ignore and hide always worked before. Not for this group and individual poster.
I know everybodys got stressors in life and this ranks pretty low down on the hierarchy but Id sure like not to see some in particular. Thanks for your kind note.
Also, I like pets, I like dogs and cats and hamsters and all kinds of pets. I have a great dog. He doesnt say much

(27,287 posts)At least that's my understanding. I'm the same with forums like sports and gaming.
I feel somewhat responsible for your issue and 'get it' that I might do a bit of over sharing. Of course if you've put me on ignore, you won't see this, anyway!

(18,940 posts)I must be more dinged up than usual because it is genuinely irking me. Ive been trying for weeks. Actually months. Its crazy. Am I the only one that cant get rid of this group? Its gone briefly and then heres the update.
I have kept the adjectives out of my notes here to you guys on this matter on purpose

(18,668 posts)First, are you subscribed to the group? If so, you can go to https://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=forum&id=1161 and click on the red button that says "unsubscribe me from this group."
That should make the posts stop showing up in your "my subscriptions" feed.
There's also a button there that says " Trash this forum. I have never used that, so I don't know exactly what it does
I don't think anyone on this group has the power to make forum invisible to you. You could try to going to Ask the Administrators and make a query there. Here's a direct link: https://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=ata
Sorry, but that's all I've got! Good luck.

(18,940 posts)Ive asked the admins of this forum to block me. Im sorry its unclear. Thanks for your kindness.

(18,668 posts)I've never used that "Trash" feature myself, but it sounds like it's not working the way it's supposed to. Ask the Administrators has a form where you can put in your question and submit it directly to the site administrators. Maybe they can help.

progree
(11,463 posts)it doesn't affect the visibility of the group's threads.
Trashing this group and putting some individuals on Ignore should make their threads and (in the latter case) their individual replies invisible, but as someone pointed out, the threads will still show up in the Greatest Threads and Trending boxes on the home page. I sure wish there was a way to hide those from view.
I don't know what happens on the Greatest Threads page. Or the Latest Threads page. I suppose I could experiment.
FWIW, there's apparently only one group host of pets, Stinky The Clown (click the About This Group button). The other host is TorchTheWitch who hasn't posted since 2016.
