I'm always leaving cardboard boxes on the floor for them to use.

a few days until we get tired of tripping over it.

Our large cat is especially fond of those boxes from Costco that have been cut down on the sides. He is fond of brown paper bags too

Mine loves to hide in a bag and surprise our dog. It usually winds up with a wild chase around the room, with the cat going UP in a hurry.

A while ago we got a long piece of it in a package of something we ordered, 25-30 feet long. I gently wadded it up into a mountain of paper & they love playing in it. One will burrow under it to hide & the others will pounce on them when they move. Basically, if anything moves in the "paper mountain" it gets pounced on, & great fun is had by all.

an odd cat. She never cared for boxes or bags. She likes tissue paper like you would use for Christmas or birthday presents. She likes laying on it and when she was a kitten we would make a ball of tissue paper and throw it and she would chase it all over the place.
