Lush was waiting right outside of the door, this morning, patiently waiting for breakfast

That's a first. He/she is still not letting me get at all close, the way Scooter does (I gave her several scritches, today), but it's a little hint that maybe I'm not being seen as quite so scary.

It's a recently gone feral or maybe not even feral cat who just comes to visit? Hanging by the door seems, to me, that it may be working toward wanting to go inside.

Lush is VERY wary of me getting too close, where as Scooter lets me give her scritches and Spooky has shortened the distance to around a foot, when there is food involved. The hissing and spitting has stopped and I sometimes get a meow from her.

Lush usually hides beneath a shrub and never comes out while I'm filling the bowls. I am doing the slow blink thing every time we are within each others eye sight. I haven't gotten one back, yet, but there was a time when as soon as I walked out the door, Lush ran back to the neighbor's yard.

Sometimes when I'm filling the bowls, the side door stays open. None of these ferals have ever ventured inside. I did have one of the striped tabbies wander in to the garage when the big door was open but that was during warm weather and I think it was just a case of curiosity.
