The first feline related bar breakage just happened.

Not sure who jumped on the bar but they all looked guilty. The responsible party knocked over an old cocktail pitcher that I used to hold some very vintage swizzle sticks. The pitcher shattered and the top of one of the glass swizzle sticks broke off but it is now repaired. The important item, the very inexpensive cut glass Manhattan pitcher, to which I have enormous emotional attachment, is undamaged.

I took it in stride and got the glass shards cleaned up FAST because Arthur was very interested in exploring the damage.

or happen more often. They must be very good cats.

When Ember was about 4 or 5 months old, I came home one day to find her tossing around something very small, shiny, and white. I couldn't make out what it was until I went into the bedroom. My white ceramic nightstand lamp was on the floor, shattered into several pieces. The light bulb was also shattered.

While I picked up the pieces, Ember pranced into the room like she was delighted to have company in her game of chasing around broken ceramic and glass. I put her out of the room and closed the door while I finished cleaning it up.

That was just the beginning of objects shattered by Ember.
