Related: About this forumGood breakfast crowd turn out of Ferals, this morning.
Scooter, Spooky, Tabby, Lush were right there, looking hungry. I had to chip the dishes out of the wintery mix. They were eating just about as fast as I as dishing it out.
As I went inside I noticed another one making its way over from across the street.
The food I put in the shelter is gone so I'll fill that again, tonight. I saw Lush and at least one other on the deck at about 5, this morning.

(1,230 posts)Do you realize how gifted you are at that? Youre the best, my DU sister.💞💫
How are you doing with the wintry mix weather there? Still got power and heat other than those kitties? Take good care of yourself, eh?

(27,287 posts)This part of Michigan was in that 'sweet spot' right between the ice storm and the heavier snow fall. We probably got a couple of inches but it's all covered with an icy crust. The roads were pretty bad but the road crews are taking care of that. I haven't heard any tires spinning in the neighborhood, so that's a good sign.
I love those kitties, that's for sure. Yesterday I was able to give Scooter some really good pets and scritches. Tabby is getting close to letting me near.

(4,510 posts)I used to feed many ferals, would humanely trap them and have them spayed or neutered. They'd return the kitties after and I would feed them til they stopped coming. I did that for about what became 30+ kitties for approx 25+ years. The neigbors weren't too crazy about it lol. I was the cat lady. lol
I still remember some of those kitties. They wanted to be socialized and let me pet them. My dog wanted to eat them, though, so I never kept any. I wish I would've found a way. Blondie and Dagwood and Gator were my favorites. I still think about them.
I know how expensive it can get, especially in winter if you're trying to be creative, so they stay warm, too. Thank you for caring so much to do all you're doing for them. It is no small thing. May you have many blessings

(51,308 posts)It's warm where I am now, but during the winter cold days, I took water out for my chickens, then for the wild birds, then the feral gang.
