The outdoor fur babies are starting to arrive for a snowy breakfast.

Scooter was 'knocking' on both the front AND garage door, letting me know she was OK. The bowls had to be moved because the bine boughs are so bowed by the 5" of heavy snow that fell. I had to do a lot of snow stomping to make it a bit easier for them. Hopefully I can move the bowls back, later

The last time I checked, Scooter and Lush were tucking in. No doubt more are out there, now.

Isn't it a wonderful feeling to know that they know you can be counted on to help them?

She had obviously been running around the house from the front to the side.

And it does feel great to have that connection with them. And, of course, the indoor sweethearts.

Reminds me of one very cold Chicago morning. It was -20 on the mercury.

I heard scratching on my door. It was a little squirrel (with a big belly as I fed them very well!).

Fired up the toaster, grabbed the extra chunky peanut butter & sounded the food bell (huge wind chimes.)

Went through 7 lbs of bread & an emormous jar of peanut butter that morning.

I miss them terribly. 😏

Enjoy your fur babies!

they are having trouble with their normal foraging and are relying on you more? I don't remember you sharing so many demands from the outside crew before!

When they were still kittens, she and her sister used to wait, paw on the screen door window, for me to bring them their food.

There is at least one other home, that I know of, feeding the ferals but I do see signs of them getting their own food.

I put some food inside of Tiger’s house and there was a dish the steps. I didn’t see him until I got up around 330. He was a little skittish but I guess he had eaten some of the food. Always happy to see him survive a weather event. Glad your kitties are doing so well.

just a little North and West of you. They had closed schools early and said we’d get 3 to 6. Didn’t start until 8pm.

It's heavy, though.

Now I'm headed out to clear the side and back walk ways so the outdoor kitties will have an easier time getting to their bowls. I think if I wait much longer, the sunshine and warming temperatures will turn this into slush.

I have to battle the snow plows on M20. They keep plowing in the end of my driveway.
It's nice having all of the utilities living on a main road. High speed cable and natural gas, plus my road is plowed first. So, I can't complain too much.
