purebreds with brachycephalic faces. They seen to have a lot of health issues. I cat sit occasionally for a friend's Persian that has chronic eye herpes & other infections because his nose discharge gets into his eyes.

I really wish they could have stayed that way. Over the years they were bred to to be more and more brachycephalic, evidently because some people decided squishy faces were cute. Poor kitties.

Her cats from a good breeder. She gets the cats that no one would take. The not show kitties. And she adores them.

And I'm sure they are very happy, well loved and cared for kitties who are very fortunate to have kind of forever home all cats deserve.

I'm sorry if my post sounded like a putdown of your sister or her cats. That was not very thoughtful of me. I let my personal issues get in the way when I worded that post.

I have mixed feelings about the idea of humans deliberately breeding either cats or dogs to create brachycephalic breeds, because of the health problems that can cause for some of the animals. I get why people like them; I'll be the first to admit that some of those critters are pretty darned cute, including Rosalee. I also appreciate the fact that there are responsible breeders out there. That's why I say my feelings are mixed.

Leaving all of that aside, I think Rosalee is a lovely cat, and I'm sure your sister's other cats are lovely, too. I also think it's great that she is giving a loving home to cats the breeder might have trouble placing otherwise. I apologize for giving the impression that I might have thought otherwise.

P,S. Othello is handsome as ever!
