Help! Willow wants to eat my charging cords!

She has become obsessed with the cords I use to charge my phone and tablet. If she had her way, she'd have electrocuted herself by now and probably burned down this apartment building while she was at it.

Needless to say, I have to get this under control somehow. I've heard about bad tasting stuff you can buy to put on things you don't want your pets to chew, but I'm leery about using something like that. I have to handle those cords a lot, and I don't want the nasty taste to come off on my hands. But I don't have any other ideas, good, bad, or indifferent.

Any thoughts, ideas, tips, etc., would be welcomed.

And is your best bet. It does work. You can put a paper towel under the cord so that excess doesn’t get on your desk The smell and taste do not last long, however, so you may have to re-apply until your kitty gets the idea. It washes off your hands quickly.

5. Have you tried behavior mod, saying a loud NO as she approaches the cord?
