And she is the chompiest kitten I've ever encountered!! I'm sure she just has so much energy and nobody but me to play with, right now. BUT tomorrow I might try putting her down on the den floor to see how things go.

(511 posts)One of my early rescues looked like a Sian relative. We named him Banshee. He developed to where he could be sitting on the floor in front of a tall refrigerator, and I swear he'd just levitate up to the top. Effortless.
On the other hand, the next rescue 2 years later, Toshiro Plushbottom, never did learn to jump. Getting up onto a low windowsill, he'd barely hook his front paws, then claw his way up the wall with his back legs. We were renting at the time and had to do a lot of secret repair before we moved, so we'd get back the security deposit. He couldn't back up, either.
Sian is seriously adorable, and I do like the big personality. Madoc'll come around. The trick will be to keep them from becoming partners in crime - together, they could rule the world.
