Sian is spending a LOT more time with the big kids, which makes me very happy

I was worried about how she would integrate with other felines since she was an 'only kitten' and felt like she was spending far too much time on my lap, instead of playing.

When I woke up, she was curled up by Arthur. Now she's playing with which ever toy or kidcats is within pouncing distance, especially Caris.

She's also far less 'bitey' when I hold her. She does love to curl un beneath my chin. AND she's starting to take interest in the cat tree.

Tomorrow family is coming over for a cook out so she will get LOTS of attention.

I think that losing Morgan has made me worry even more.

before it is 6 weeks old, it will be able to socialize easily enough. After that, it gets harder the older they are.

She's more trusting of the boys than she is of me!! That's OK because when she wants my attention, it is just beyond sweet.

from feral to tame and socialized. I think that helps them in turn to welcome newcomers. Welcoming is part of their life experience, just something that now comes naturally to them even if they do put the new little ones through sniff and observation tests first.

The presence of other cats that accepted Carys, especially Arthur, helped her socialization process. I think it would have been harder without them.
