Related: About this forumPic of my kittens and their mommy tonight.
It's dinner time and they weren't holding still. Lol! I've been able to pet them, but still haven't held them. Their mommy is super tame (as I said before, she's super tame and sweet.)
They come running to me when I call and get within inches of me. They play with toys with me now (thanks for all the videos!!) and I truly think we're bonding now!
We're making progress. ❤️

(19,612 posts)Not a hint of any other colors in either of them. A rock solid black and grey kitty. Not common at all among the strays around here. They're all tabby's of one variety or another.
I'm not sure if they're locals or if someone dumped them here. I had that happen a year ago with another kitty who ended up being pregnant with 3 kittens. I found homes for 2 but 2 of them now live here in my home with my other pets. There's so many unwanted kitties here it's desperately hard to find good homes for them. Even when I do the spay/neuter and vaccinations before giving them away.

(19,612 posts)This is the second time in 2 years I've had kittens manifest.
Last year a sweet stray showed up here and I took her in trying to find her owners. She wasn't chipped, not a single reply to all my online attempts to reunite her with her family.
About 2 months later we had 3 kittens. 😂

(19,612 posts)Currently I have 3 indoors (I found homes for 2 of Daisy's kittens last year) and these 3 outdoors.
If I can't find homes for them I'll just move them in, too. Which may become a bit challenging soon.

Hey, whats one more? Why not?
My husband might not agree. We have 4 right now, and have had 5. I know there are DUers who have several more than that.

(19,612 posts)Then by late June I had 6. (Another dumped mommy and her 3 kittens she birthed in my bed. Lol)
Then I found homes for 2. Our total was 4.
Sadly my elderly sweetest boy caught cancer and passed late last summer. Which brought us to 3.
Now there's these 3 little sweeties. So, six it is as soon as I can get them all inside.
My poor husband. My heart goes out to him. 6 seems to be our magic number.

blue-eyed cats, so I finally got brave enough to tell my husband that this situation needed to be remedied. After some brief obligatory husbandly grumbling, he agreed, and at the end of January, we adopted and brother-sister pair of Siamese kittens.
It was fascinating to watch the little female. She took to my husband immediately, and would want him to pick her up and snuggle her, would purr for him instantly, and shed seek him out around the house.
He was a goner within 24 hours. She knew who she had to charm.

(19,612 posts)My oldest now, a veritable baby by my standards, a 5 year old female Siamese rescue.
My previous Siamese, my most precious, sweetest baby boy caught pancreatic cancer in mid 2017. He was hands down my closest companion and we shared a deep love unlike most of the other bonds I have shared with my pets. And, I'm a weird, love them like family person. He was just super special. That once in a lifetime companion.
A few days before his one year anniversary of going over the rainbow bridge a friend reached out to me about a 6 week old Siamese kitten rescue from a breeder. Her mother had died due to complications during birth and she was one of the surviving kittens. She'd been being bottle fed, but the breeder (very unscrupulous person!!) wanted out from underneath the responsibility of tending her and her 2 other surviving siblings. The other two had found homes but she was left because she was missexed as a male. I didn't care since I wasn't going to breed the kitty and just wanted to rescue the poor thing. Also, I preferred male kitties personalities once neutered. Win-win.
I bottle raised "him" loved him and we became deeply bonded. My sweetest little "man" I called him. Only to take them into the vet at 10 weeks to learn he was a she! Lol!
She's now my sweetheart of a girl, and I love her dearly. ❤️
Siamese are a truly special breed of cat.

(25,377 posts)Wed had 3 before this charming pair, 2 ragdoll mixes, and 1 lynx point. I could stare at their eyes for hours.
With those blue eyes, its almost like there is a little fellow human in there staring out at you. That may sound weird, but I cant think of any other way to describe it.

(19,612 posts)I won't lie, they're pretty full of themselves. They're just starting to do that grooming thing where if you pet them after they've washed a spot, they look all indignant and have to rewash it to get your cooties off.
I'm thinking they're going to be just fine if I can find them a loving home. They're pretty much kittening like I'd expect except for running when I try to pick them up.
It's a small thing and we're working on it.

(19,612 posts)Check out her toes, if you can zoom in on the pic. Seriously, her feet are so beautiful. They have the most lovely markings I've ever seen.
She looks like she's barely a few generations from being a wildcat. I know she's not, but her markings make you think it possible!
It's so sad someone didn't take care of her properly. She's so beautiful, loving and nearly killed herself trying to keep her babies alive in the wild. It was heartbreaking.
