(6,302 posts)That Tudor!! What a beautiful little Welsh gentleman he is, and of course all the other beauties.
We are enjoying our newest adoptee, Ms. Pink who we brought home from PAWS Shelter last week. She is a 3 mos. old grey tabby who is making the household wake up an take notice! Resident Cat, Ms. Catness still has her flat nose out of joint a bit but coming along. The Aussies could care less. Pink came to Washington State from a shelter in northern Calif. on a planeload of refugees. She is a skinny little bit but we are going to put pounds on that furry frame.

(27,286 posts)I finally was able to put Tudor back in the shelter so I can take a break and then get their dinner ready. Next week I will slowly start introducing him to the indoor cats and see how it goes. I want to get him to the vet, too, because of his small size.
He seems to be healthy. He's walking, now, instead of bumbling, has a good appetite and VERY good voice. He also shows a lot of curiosity.

(25,440 posts)Do you know how much Tudor weighs?
Siwsan
(27,286 posts)Probably tomorrow. Right now he's back at the shelter having a little slurry snack. Mom has been nursing the other 3. If he sees me, he will come running. I'm a little less worried about him missing out on interacting with his siblings because he and Dylan seem to have formed a bone, along with Merlin.
I'm hoping he settles in so I can take care of the indoor fur babies.
I finally put a chair by the shelter so I can sit and play with the kittens. Maybe even read a book.

(92,684 posts)Do you think these are from two litters by the same mom?

(27,286 posts)I will try to get a photo of Tudor with one of his siblings to show the difference in size.

(92,684 posts)I was thinking they might have been far enough apart to be from the same mother. But I haven't been able to pay close attention. I have a weird thing going on with one of my eyes and it's hard to read onscreen stuff as much as I usually do. I went to the eye specialist and they said it's harmless but could take a while to go away. So I have what looks like someone squished a gnat on my glasses only it moves around with my pupil. Sigh.
Glad you found all those babies, my goodness, there sure are quite a few of them all of a sudden.

(27,286 posts)I'm going to check with the local rescue organization that does spaying/neutering at a somewhat affordable price, and see if I can bring them in, maybe, two at a time.
They do have a special where if I could trap the mom and bring her in with the kittens, it's $40 for the mom and $10 for the kittens. The kittens are too small right now, but I'll keep an eye on them and hopefully the special will still be in place.

(92,684 posts)Caring for so many, perhaps they will work with you on a better deal. The Humane Soc. in the town I was involved had a special deal worked out for our neighborhood organization since we trapped and s/n as many as we could. I don't know exactly what it was but they had one worked out.

(27,286 posts)But worth every second.
This last week has been particularly stressful, worrying about Tudor, but he does seem fully recovered from his 'at death's door' experience. I think his mom has finally learned to deal with the way he runs to me whenever he hears my voice. Or how he chirps for me when he doesn't.
