Dylan is now my official Emotional Support Kitcat

Today is one week since sweet Tudor crossed the Rainbow Bridge. I was thinking about him while I sat in the shade of the tree where I used to hold him. Tears just started streaming down my face.

Then Dylan jumped up on the chair and crawled up my shirt until he was nose to nose with me. He rubbed his head against my face and then just sort of melted against me. It was like he was saying 'I miss him, too.'

We sat there for quite a while, just cuddling.

He is one amazing little boy.

3. I KNOW that...

...my animal companions have some method of comprehending my emotions and thoughts.

Don't know how they do it, but it's become very clear over time that they somehow do understand much more than humans are capable of, and their communication skills are top notch if you're open to it.

And believe she was "sent by the angels" to comfort and soothe me in the five months I've had her. And they've been difficult months otherwise. It is almost amusing how deliberately tender she is to me, especially in the night. So sweet.

7. I vividly remember the night after I lost both Morgan and Sophie Stinky Toes

I was in bed, wide awake and feeling so incredibly sad and lost. Madoc, who was just a kitten, maybe about 12 weeks old, crawled up next to me and put his paw in my hand. Then he snuggled up to my arm and we both fell asleep.

He still has his moments but out of my indoor kidcats, Arthur is definitely the most sensitive to my emotions. He has stuck very close to me all week.

9. I always hold close the memories of the first time I see each of the kittens

The way Madoc tried to escape. The way both Arthur and Tudor would climb over their siblings to the entry in the denning box, when I'd start talking to them. How stunning Carys and her siblings were, and the same with Rhys, Merlin and Snowden. Bouncing little fluff balls. That they were the same color combinations just amazed me.

The thing that struck me about Dylan, the first time I saw him and picked him up, was how he had such 'old soul' eyes. Both he and Dewi just seemed to know, almost immediately, that they could trust me.

Now I’m tearing up again picturing Dylan knowing you are in need for some TLC.

Obviously a special little critter. Hugs to you both from me -

You gave Tudor love and affection during his short life. He will be in your heart forever.
