A storm came through central NJ a few years ago and we had a river running through our yard. 6 inches of water in the basement and tornado sirens on our cell phones.

After that - I always have a *go bag* for our dog next to the safe where we keep our critical papers to grab in a moment. There's always a bag of his biscuits (I rotate out from there) kibble, and dog first aid. He's on a prescription diet for food sensitivities - and I have one of those pop top canisters with two weeks of kibble. Rotate it out. We also keep the dog front pack there so we can carry him on us if we have to move quick.

I'm obsessed with our Maltese family member.

Especially for us east coasters who could face another hurricane this season.

If we go, our fur-kids go with us.
