The Golden Labrador is a large friendly dog, full of energy, and always wanting to be part of the action. Highly intelligent, they are easier than most dogs to train as they are so willing to please. They enjoy being inside with the family and will be devoted to you.
We haven't had any, in the family, closest, I guess, was George, labradoodle, (in NJ, who passed due to tick bite. Gotta remind MD daughter to be diligent.)

(136,055 posts)They're debating a name.
Been years since I've been this close to one, so may end up begging for Dog-Sitting jobs!

(9,691 posts)I have 2 granddogs, Lucy the black lab and Callie the tiny cockapoo. Its like grandkids - love them, spoil them, give them back. Labs are wonderful, easygoing, gentle, low maintenance (although she sheds a lot).
