they give you people food.

Or else it is a message to include people food in their feedings.

But I think that, since the kittens are a bit young to hunt down a mouse or mole to gift you with, they chose something that is easier for them to get.

And might have said, “Yum!” while doing it? Kittehs don’t miss a thing!

One of mine brought a huge rat home once. It was still alive and he played it to death in front of us. Now I KNOW he never saw us eat a rat! When we didn’t move to take it, he went ahead and ate it.

my carpet cleaning biz, I had a client that had a cat that left her mice beside her side of the bed every night, dead of course. Pricilla was a good cat, loved everyone.
But I had to clean up the nasties left behind.

for about an hour. He eats grass, climbs trees and hunts. When he is done, he sits by the back door and we let him in.

Toby the Cat feeds us. It might be a mouse, a chipmunk or a bird. There is almost always something.

His body weight is down by half, he’s toothless, slow, and spends most of his outdoor time lounging in the sun. But several times a week, there’s a dead chipmunk on the porch.

Once a predator…

She didn't appreciate that it was a gift, and a proud conquest.

After that, my cat brought his gifts to our nextdoor neighbors. We never got another one from him.

While she was on the telephone. The person on the other end would have called the cops, but there was no way to disconnect the call. She sounded like she was being murdered.

The mouse escaped to the top of the curtains and sat on the rod for a long time. Eventually, somebody knocked it into a tall container and took it outside. Ton O'Buns was very disappointed in all of us.

Like they're saying, "We ate all the nasty fishy parts so we brought you this." Or maybe they want fish on that part too? Do they even know what fish is yet?
