Related: About this forumI would sure like to find smaller bags/boxes dry cat food for sale. Where did they go?
I checked three convenience stores, a Kroger, and a Safeway today. Oh, and a dollar store.
Nothing. The dollar store had no dry food at all. Every other place had bags that are way too big.
My Kit Kat eats mostly wet food, but I would like to be able to leave out a bowl of dry for her to munch if I am away for the day, or overnight. I don't want to buy four or six or nine pounds -- who knows if she's even going to like it much.
I remember buying smaller boxes at convenience stores in the past. Not any more.
Any hints?

(24,790 posts)since the pandemic started. My dog's favorite dog biscuits disappeared from the stores a few years ago. I had to get them used to something else.
One thing you might try is Amazon. I've found a few things there I can't find anywhere else. I don't like buying online, but I sometimes do it when there's no other choice.

(13,708 posts)I didn't find any small bags or boxes of dry cat food there. Alas.

(24,790 posts)had luck looking at the chain drug stores for pet supplies. I think it may be because most people don't go to CVS, Walgreens, etc, looking for pet food, so they may have some things other stores are out of.

(13,708 posts)I checked Walgreen's a couple of weeks ago. No luck there. Rite Aid is going out of business and closed down.
No Wal Mart near me.
Oh, there is some kind of discount grocery place a couple of miles away. Maybe they have bulk kibble.
