There's one selection of the pate that the indoor kidcats don't like

It's one of the fish ones. I thought I'd see if the ferals might like it.

The kittens and 2 adults were on the porch. As soon as I walked out, they began circling me like a bunch of furry sharks. I hadn't even opened the can!!

Suffice it to say that they REALLY like that fishy pate.

your indoor cats are food snobs. The outdoor kitties know that they have to work a bit harder to be fed well so I'm certain they appreciated the treat.

Cats, people, all the same. And birds.

As soon as the plate of cat food gets a bit stale, our ex-feral cat looks disgusted.

He gets a fresh plate, the rejected plate goes out on the front lawn. On bricks in a tray of water so ants can't get to it.
Ibis, magpies clean it up.
Nothing wasted!

Morning ritual. As is putting seeds out for the backyard seed munchers.
Three different types of doves, pigeons, and visiting ducks.
Two different worlds separated by the house.

sardines and tuna flakes in oil.

Eats it with relish.
Next day?
Not interested!
Gives me a disgusted look, not this stuff again! Come on servant, do better!

You crack me up, Siwsan, and I’m more than okay with it.

Grandma Bee said if you have a choice between laughing and crying, go ahead and laugh, child.
Mama said laughter is all kinds of good medicine.
Leonard Cohen said “…there is a crack in everything. That’s how the light gets in.”
🌞

You and your KitKidCats are generous souls sharing the laughter (and sometimes the inevitable crying). That good medicine , the booster that cracks open our hearts and minds to the light, the hope, the joy, the possibilities, and the Will to keep moving forward.

As I’ve been told and as I’ve learned, when I’m tired, don’t quit. Rest.
Resting with you and your family and the community you build here, is really restorative for me. That’s a beautiful blessing. 🌜🌞🌛💫
Many thanks.
