(54,854 posts)We got our first one, Voodoo, years ago (we lost 2 years ago), because my husband thought he was a Rottweiler puppy! LOL! He wanted a big dog, didn't care for small dogs...that changed!
So, now we have 6! Two older ones, sisters, the two puppies and their parents.

(54,854 posts)Because they came a bit early, we didn't get to do stuff for our anniversary. Oh well, we enjoyed the day watching the puppies.

(54,854 posts)LOL! I love him to death, but remembering dates, well, that falls to me. Hell, I sent his mother a birthday gift one year, signed his name. She called ME to thank me. I said, no, it was your son's gift. She laughed and said, "uh-huh, riiiight!" HAHAHA!
We are trying to come up with names for them. That's been interesting. We were preparing for females.

(222,098 posts)But then my Sara came with the name "Cindy," which obviously wasn't her name and she didn't answer to it - and people thought I was talking about my cousin. She was found as a stray in Ohio and lucked out in being included in an "underground railroad" of dogs being brought to New York since we have tougher animal protection laws. So I just kept trying names and she finally answered to Sara, yet another Stevie Nicks song. She was such a nice dog that I often thought someone must be missing her. My boys were McCarthy's Rags, Barney, Meneken and Jack - the last I adopted as a puppy.
