Go to a Walgreens & ask pharmacist for a small bottle of Sweet Oil. Should take care of it & it's very reasonable.

Not sure why it seems only Walgreens carries it or why they keep it behind the counter.

Usually all u have to do is wipe them out with a kleenex and some sweet oil
I'm sure any oil will likely do or even Vaseline. Smothers the mites.

And I bet if you explained fully what's happening with Patches, someone here could pass on their knowledge or experience.

If the problem is ear mites: is Patches shaking head, pawing at ear? You may find a good ear cleaner at a pet supply

Squirt it in, thumb over ear, so not shaken out. Gently massage base of ear till the cleaner works it's way down. Repeat EVERY DAY FOR 3 OR 4 DAYS. No slacking.

Give treat for being a good ....?

It’s some sort of skin in the irritation under his fur, there’s tiny little black specks in his fur occasionally I’ve tried to look at with the magnifying glass. , but they’re really small. And there’s a roughness around his neck. I don’t know how it’s gonna work because Patches hides under the bed when anybody comes in the house, he seems OK this morning, begging for food and stuff, but he still stops to scratch and lick his back. thanks for your help. If that's the case, please ask the vet to recommend a flea medicine. Some of the over-the-counter remedies are both ineffective and dangerous. I only use ones I get from my vet.
