He is so small, even a kitten sized litter box would be a struggle for him. I'm using the top of an old shoe box. He's pretty good about using it but sometimes he gets so caught up in being a kitten that he just empties out, where ever he is. I have a roll of paper towels and a bottle of 'Pooph' at the ready.

I am going to try and see if he will now be able to get in to that small litter box.

Side note: I've got 6 litter boxes scattered around the house. Once I get the laundry room reconfigured, another will go in there.

...that are bigger than a baby bathtub. They have a "pocket" at one end for storing the scoop, and are high sided. We have 4 cats, and they seem quite content with this setup.

Psychologically, it seems less arduous to scoop 2 large boxes as opposed to 4 smaller ones.

By the way, my cat-a-day's image today looks just like baby Merlin!

He's still pretty small for what we estimate is a 6 week old kitten but as long as he's reaching all of the other benchmarks, I'm not going to worry.

But he is healthy and clearly happy, all thanks to you! But I keep having an image of a huge growth spurt, kind of late, where he ends up bigger than his brothers!
