Robert Dallek on FDR

A lot of parallels to today. This interview from 2017, anticipated Trump's poor popularity early on, as well as the divide between city and rural areas, fear of socialism, court packing. Historian Robert Dallek wrote many biographies, including this one, Franklin D. Roosevelt: A Political Life, which was a marvelous read and the subject of this talk.

One question asked about who could replace Trump to right the ship of state. Dallek said Democrats need new young leadership! Trump unsuited to the presidency, so combative. Lots of good points.
