Nixon established the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency), signed the Clean Air Act and also the Clean Water Act. Also OSHA, Consumer Product Safety Act, Office of Minority Business Enterprise to promote and support minority-owned businesses, supported for the Equal Rights Amendment, and supported the abolition of the Electoral College.

That sounds pretty progressive to me.

Then the GOP went to hell in a handbasket (after Ford) with the election of the GOP Jesus - Reagan.

RIP Nixon.

Bastard died while I had important meetings and stuff in transit in the mail and it all got delayed when he croaked! And the USPS wasted little time in issuing a stamp with his ugly mug on it.
