Today in Peace and Justice history on April 11, 1968

Civil Rights Act of 1968 by Pres Lyndon Johnson just 1 week after the assassination of Rev Martin Luther King. Known as the Fair Housing Act, it 1st outlawed discrimination in the sale, rental or financing of housing and now bans it for reasons of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, familial status, or handicap. http://bit.ly/16VEVHz
