Knew a guy whose last name was Drzewiecki. Even he mangled the Polish.

Jevyetsky would do it justice without much confusion. But we obeyed the Polish orthography.

Another last name was Czech--Jedlicka. In Czech, "Yedlichka." But mangled to "jedLICKuh".

For example, Kodaly is KOdaly. Pisanki is PIsanki, not PiSANki.
