Could Putin have made an incredible mistake that changes World History?

Perhaps costing him far more than he could possibly imagine

Took the mask off. Reviving the Soviet empire is an absurd notion. All along he was just a butthurt old apparatchik who wanted his map back. The world has moved on. Like a long time ago.

Bye.

Things move fast in the Internet Age.

I’m old enough to remember 60s-era Russia from an American POV, Life there was an utter mystery, and when they flexed their muscles, ie Prague ‘68, all you saw was the same endless loop of tanks rolling into town.

Now you see Russian domestic anti war protesters in real-time and clips of little old ladies giving their soldiers shit. The whole Vlad edifice is visibly creaking and it’s there for all to see. Some things have definitely changed for the better.

5. No allies. Russia is a pariah state for as long as it's run by Putin.

Now, with Putin as head of Russia, it will never be considered one of the community of economically advanced nations. Putin put an end to international comity. Abject evil is not a selling point.

Putin certainly doesn't seem like the master strategist he promotes himself to be. If he keeps going like he's going, maybe he won't be here a year from now.

I would have said you are nuts. Maybe his military is lukewarm and klutzy, and he gets laughed out of town?

10. The Russian military will have to kill people in Ukraine. If they won't, it could be all over.
