Medici tv series from 2016-2020

About series...https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Medici_%28TV_series%29?wprov=sfla1

Big takeaway regards politics and the Florence system during the Renaissance. And my personal excavation unearthing this from The Prince by Macchiaveli...

"The general theme of The Prince is of accepting that the aims of princes – such as glory and survival – can justify the use of immoral means to achieve those ends."

The manipulation of the masses via blatant lying by a vengeful Rinaldo Albizzi sounds way too like our current state of affairs. Rupert Murdoch would feel right at home there. Cosimo di Medici was surrounded by loyal men who would also smite by any means to protect the Medici family

We only began watching season 1 on Netflix last night, binging 5 episodes with 3 to go for Cosimo. Then onto the succession of son Piero and grandson Lorenzo "the Magnificent", covered in seasons 2 & 3.
