At least 8000 peace protesters formed a 10-mile human chain around the U.S. air base on Okinawa, an island that is part of Japan. Subsequent demonstrations and negotiations between the U.S. and Japan have led to the prospective closing of the U.S. Marine Corps' Futemma Air Station. http://bit.ly/19qsVB6
