It's of interest in 2022, because the man who was the sheriff then, Troy Nehls, is now a member of Congress. That explains Allen Weisselberger's comment.

It is OK for them to fly their Confederate flags, and adorn their cars and trucks with Trump stickers, but it may be a death penalty for displaying support for Biden or Democracy.

I do appreciate their displays though, it lets me know who to look out for...
