Man working to rebuild life after going to jail for crime he didn't commit

CINCINNATI — He was arrested, charged, put on trial and cleared, but four years later, a local man is still struggling to climb out from under the ordeal of criminal prosecution.

The criminal charges against Brandin Vaughn in 2017 included two counts of aggravated robbery and two counts of kidnapping.

He was in jail for seven months waiting for his trial.

Court documents show a case of robbery at gunpoint in Pleasant Ridge, a family alibi that placed him in Delhi at the time of the crime, and surveillance video and testimony about a right-handed gunman. Vaughn is left-handed.
