I voted for R-74 (Washington marriage equality referendum)

As I filled out my ballot, I thought about how happy I was when I got to marry my lovely bride, Jill. I can't imagine how unsatisfying it would have been if I would have been forced to settle for a civil union.

I also thought about my friend Darren and his partner Michael. A couple who have been together longer than BOTH of my marriages put together. I thought about how dedicated they are to each other. And I thought, "Do they deserve the same joy and happiness that marriage brings me?" And, of course, I answered 'yes'.

Cheers to Darren and Michael and to all those other beautiful lovers out there who will finally be welcomed into the club.

I have seen my gay friends suffer in purgatory too long.I have some very dear gay friends.I want them to have the benefits and protections of marriage if they want it.
I hope Inslee wins by as large a margin as R- 74.Maybe it will teach the bible pounders to keep their jesus out of my government.

Neither my boyfriend or I can imagine how treating another loving couple equally will have any effect on our relationship.
