HRC has softened its stances and aggressive pursuit of LGBT equality over the years, as well as selling out and pandering. Such as when they supported George W. Bushes privatization of Social Security so long as same-sex couples got benefits from the program. They haven't played the role they should have as a "leader" in LGBT equality.
