Is Colorado is considered a solid middle America state. They don't have a controversial reputation like California might. They cannot be dismissed as fringe. The Prohibitionists are the fringe.

as in the south or parts of the midwest, so they were able to bring votes across party lines to this issue.

More people voted to legalize cannabis than voted for Obama.

Plenty of good ole boys use cannabis too.

There are plenty of recreational users of cannabis across the whole spectrum of society. Their use of cannabis is hidden and their lives functional and prosocial.

Only the marginal or with little to lose "come out". One place you can "come out" safely is in the secrecy of the ballot box.

Once the life destroying penalties are lifted we can all come out of the shadows.
