Woman kills her abductor, rapist at Jefferson County apartment, deputies say

Woman kills her abductor, rapist at Jefferson County apartment, deputies say

A 26-year-old woman was reported to have been abducted in the Adamsville jurisdiction earlier on Tuesday. Just before 6 p.m., Adamsville police contacted the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office to locate the woman at the apartment complex in Forestdale.

Deputies found the woman in the parking lot. They also located a deceased adult male in the apartment. Deputies say he died from an apparent gunshot wound.

The initial information is that the woman identified the man as her abductor. She told investigators he forced her to the apartment and sexually assaulted her. At some point, she got hold of the gun and shot him.

The investigation is still in its early stages. There is no word yet on whether or not charges will be filed.

I gather that at the moment the article was written, that only her version of the events was known.

Even in the most obvious incidents the dead don't talk. Should be simple enough to figure this out. I think anyone who kills someone requires investigation.

Through forensics, the dead do talk but as Detective Mercer said in The Brave One:
"Most everybody lies. Dead can't."

I think anyone who kills someone requires investigation.

This is the job of the police.

One has to wonder: was she his first victim or have their been others?

Did he even plan on releasing her or was he going to murder her after he was done? Obviously it speculation at this point, but kidnapping her and taking her back to his own home suggests he had no intention of allowing her to live.
