Gun Control & RKBA

Is this really necessary? The bills sponsor claimed the legislation would end undue hardships for license holders under current law that requires them to leave guns in the car while dropping off children. Under the proposed law, citizens would be able to tote their weapons into what gun lobby propaganda describes as victim zones places presumably in need of vigilantism.
The measure was denounced as a dangerous effort to promote gun sales by the Ohio chapter of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America. It feeds the fantasies of people who think they have the power to stop criminals even though, in practice, concealed-carry weapons inflict more harm on gun owners and other innocent victims than on actual criminals.

(9,951 posts)What a joke of an organization, they can't get anything done, when was the last time they actually affected any states firearm laws?
Bloomberg's money is going down a deep, dark rabbit hole, he's certainly not getting his money's worth.

(17,502 posts)after George Tiller's murder, Rachel Maddow went on a tour of clinics in Kansas. There was one where the doc and some of the employees open carry. I loved the look on Rachel's face when the doc said "I support the second amendment".

(6,185 posts)To drop off or pick up a student/day care child you are allowed to carry. Parking lots are also considered "safe havens" for CCW.
If you are going in for any extended time you are supposed to store your firearm in the locked trunk of your car.
I'm really sorry if that upsets you, but cheer up, one of these days you'll have a win for gun control ... maybe ... someday ... nah.
So maybe it's not the "Republican controlled Ohio House" that's at fault. Maybe it's you and the NYTimes that still just don't get it.

(11,996 posts)and a bit unsafe, to have to un-holster and store a pistol someplace in your car just to go into a place for a few minutes.
The less one needs to handle their CCW the better.
Post offices, schools etc. are similarly affecting.
