Metropolitan Police Chief Cathy Lanier on "60 Minutes" last sunday


“Your options are run, hide or fight,” Chief Lanier said. “I always say if you can get out, getting out is your best option. If you’re in a position to try and take the gunman down, to take the gunman out, it’s the best option for saving lives before police can get there.”


Very interesting indeed.... DC Police Chief saying to the citizenry: "try and take the gunman out" If you can.

Seems like the hard core "banners" are losing ground again..

are being dumped by those who consult on "active shooter" strategies. One former NYC LEO said on NPR last night that "chaos" is a better defense, and that other passive strategies are worse.
