A completly predicable out come for all the "gun confiscation" talk, and reflection on '93
The more they bloviate about pie in the sky legislation, the more American's defiantly tool up....
"Surges in firearms sales are driven by the perceived threat of governmental restrictions and regulations on firearms," Ruttenbur says.
Smith & Wesson and Sturm, Ruger are up 116% and 66% this year, respectively. These companies have been direct beneficiaries from exceptionally strong handgun demand.
Analysts are especially bullish on demand for Smith & Wesson firearms. The company's revenue is expected to hit $613.7 million this calendar year, up 13% from last year, says S&P Capital IQ. Analysts are calling for revenue at Sturm, Ruger to drop 2.1% this calendar year, but bounce back 5.8% in calendar year 2016 to $563.7 million.

As many of you know, the so called "Assault Weapons" were not very popular, and were sort of uncommon, up until they were "banned" in 1993, then katie bar the door, then everyone had to have them, and they largely did have them.... I wonder, had they not been banned in 93' do you think they would be nearly as popular now? I don't think so. It's as if, gun control advocates are their own worst enemy. The louder and more demanding they get (regardless of any ability to carry out their ideas) only drives sales, farther and farther through the roof.
It's almost as if the American public does it just to piss Gun Control advocates off.
Also makes me wonder if Bloomberg (and other elitist) gun control advocates are not making money off all these gun sales? It would not be a stretch for a 1%'er ex-repuke like Bloomberg, and his latchy Ex-Monsanto Public Relations consultant, Shannon Watts. using a shell company, to buy a large amount stock on the side, than hit the airwaves demanding bans, and promising large cash donations to politicians for their support, than cash in the stock after they charge up in reaction to all the "confiscation" talk. He knows the game well, after all, he made his money that way.
Very plausible indeed..
