Suspect steals gun from victim at valley McDonald's

PHOENIX - Police are offering a reward to help find a suspect who stole a gun from a customer at McDonald's. Police are releasing surveillance video of the incident to help solve the crime.

According to Sgt. James Rothschild with Silent Witness, the victim was placing an order at the McDonald's at Central and Southern. The male suspect came up behind him and stole the gun from his back-pocket holster and then fled the store.

The victim chased down the suspect, but the suspect then pointed the weapon at the victim, and then ran off.

14. Gun control folk really need to think of themselves as "Nice People"

But their posts on DU belie that image.

Just in the last few days; they hope someone shoots their penis off, they regret that a parent wasn't killed by their child. Both pretty typical of gun control posts on DU.

But they think gun owners here are the dangerous and violent ones?

Go figure?

Just glad they don't own guns with that kind of attitude.

5. Always be aware of the scumbags around you.

It also helps to have your personal safety device concealed and in a proper holster.

Just keep your nose out of your cell phone and watch those around you, any can be a potential threat. Being safe in public isn't really that hard, or time consuming...and could save your life.

Safety first, bums stealing your EDC never.

6. Was the victim carrying openly?

Most incidents such as this (I am aware of a couple) involve open carrying in a holster with no retention, in very close proximity to others. Some retention training and a retention holster, or actually carrying concealed rather than openly, would have been wise in this case.

Looking at the pics, that doesn't look like a pocket gun, so I'm trying to figure out what a "back pocket holster" is. Did he just have the slide jammed in his pocket?

And sent to prison. People who steal from others make me so angry - when I was just married and in my early 20s and getting by on very little money someone stole our wet clothes from the washing machine at the laundry mat and we didn't really have the money to replace them. Seriously, who steals wet clothes? If you want something get a job and buy it using your own money.

I'm sure all the gun confiscators hopes this thief gets 20 years in prison because he committed a crime involving a gun. Right?
