Employee of Roanoke gun store accidentally shoots herself

The accidental shooting happened around 11:50 a.m. at SafeSide Tactical on Shenandoah Avenue.

According to Roanoke police, the employee was handling her own personal gun when she accidentally shot herself in the leg.

She was taken to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital with what is described as a non-life threatening injury.

No one was in the store at the time of the shooting. According to a news release from SafeSide Tactical, the store was closed for a private event.

I'm going the opposite direction today toward Bristol instead of Roanoke for a Baseball tournament or I'd stop in and buy my DW something for her AR.

Looks like it's plants and flowers from Lowes instead.

Is the first thing I say in these matters.

That being said, whenever I unholster my revolver, my thumb immediately goes to the cylinder release.

As the gun clears leather, the cylinder snaps open.

Turn the gun over, bullets fall out. Six bullets, six holes.

Now I have a really sexy* paperweight in my hands.

Although I don't know if I'd want one chambered while carrying (I don't carry).

I wouldn't own a glock.
