A 37-year-old man was killed Saturday afternoon after he apparently tried to rob a father and his toddler son, who were in the drive-thru of McDonalds at the intersection of FM 518 and state Highway 3 in League City, police said.
Witnesses told investigators a man walked up to a Ford F-150 pickup truck and pointed a handgun at the driver about 2:10 p.m., police said.
The driver, who is a concealed handgun license holder, pulled out his handgun and shot the man multiple times, striking him in the chest, police said.
The 37-year-old man, whose name had not been released, was taken to Clear Lake Regional Medical Center, where he died, police said.
Apparently this man didn't get that memo that a robber will shoot you before you can draw. Besides why does anyone need to take a gun to McDonald's?

(20,896 posts)Is the person who decided he could take whatever he wanted from a man and his young boy.
It seems to me that the man made a prudent decision after evaluating his risks of being a crime victim and luckily for him he was prepared so he and his son went home alive that day.
