Gun Control & RKBA
Related: About this forumA rural teenager gets an AK47....
And defends his home with it... (sorry for the bit of hyperbole in the title, I know it was NOT a real AK47, but that is what the news article called it, but anyone who has a clue about firearms knows it was a semi auto variant of an AK 47.)
Direct quote from the article:
.......Police said the incident unfolded quickly. When the teen who lived at the home saw the alleged intruder, he shot him once with an AK-47. It appears the bullet went into the victim's hand, traveled up his arm and into his chest cavity. Only one shot is believed to have been fired

Another article about this incident.
"Daddy armed him in case he was ever by himself," neighbor Rick Waltz said. "Daddy was at work and he got a call that said, 'It sounds like somebody is in the house. More than one.' Like any parent would do, he said, 'Get your gun and protect yourself if you have to.' Somewhere along the line they met up, and one will not be going home tonight."

Shot thru the hand, up the arm, and into the chest with a single round? Sounds like the assailant was pointing his handgun at the kid with the AK when he got shot. When you know how to shoot, you don't need to "spray and spray".
O yea, notice the "just like any parent would do"... This line right here shows just how out of touch, and clueless gun ban elitist really are.
I will leave several second pause here for the audience to think..... or for those that say this never happens to close their eyes and pretend this text says something else entirely, perhaps something about kittens and rainbows..

'Nra talking point' has gotten where its right up there "THE WOLF IS COMING!".

(18,565 posts)I now equate most of the pro-controlisms with "The sky is falling" or that scene in Home Alone where Kevin runs through the house screaming with hands in the air.

(87 posts)Looks to me like the article is pretty straightforward with the facts of the case -- surely you're not trying to say that facts you don't happen to like should be called "NRA talking points." That would just be silly, kind of like deceptively editing a "documentary" to make people that one doesn't agree with look bad.
Well, other words than "silly" could apply to such tactics, but I'm trying to be generous...
