(15,333 posts)I don't underestimate fear and anger *at all*- the author of that OP is perhaps unfamiliar with the following, written by the reactionary homophobe Robert Bork:
Knowledge that an activity is taking place is a harm to those who find it profoundly immoral"

(21,000 posts)Apparently not enough people were equally shocked and outraged.
Maybe it will be reposted in GCRA

In bold capital font on front of shirt: LIBERAL RUDE TOTER
Oooops. Except that I can't tote. I live in CA. (Just crazy about that 'Rude Toter' label though! Hits my silly-bone every time.)

(6,185 posts)It is my understanding that "Dine and Dash", while waving your hands in the air and/or clutching a string of fake pearls, is the official gun control approved method of dealing with spontaneous fear and loathing of Open or perceived Concealed Carry.
I believe you are also encouraged to make up false memes about how in danger you are, as you exit the restaurant.

(21,000 posts)To recover a forgotten purse. I guess when your stuff is involved you can hold off the terror and flee after recovering your property.

Ah, situational ethics are soooo convenient when you can think of them as "deeply held principles".

(6,185 posts)But he's not doing much posting anywhere here.
He has 7 active hides here now, a hang over from the Skinner amnesty.
But he seems to be laying low for now.
I'd usually say; "maybe he learned his lesson", but not for that one.

(11,996 posts)Glad he "JUST WON'T TOLERATE THE INSOLENCE", or something.

(6,185 posts)Instead, he got a few polite "golf claps" from the usual suspects and some honest questions and criticisms that he couldn't answer.
Heck, we didn't even get to the "blatant ridicule" stage and he closed them all.

(21,000 posts)Though this one had a twist. http://www.democraticunderground.com/10028096566
Rather than pacifically anti open carry this OP advocated the government use force against those who had the temerity to use their free speech. The thought seemed to be you can speak freely as long as everyone agrees with what you say.
Same as the other threads went, not everyone agreed. To some folks, apparently free speech means Free Speech.

Once again confirming the foresight of our fearless leader/moderator.
