http://www.kgw.com/news/60-year-old-woman-shoots-armed-suspects-who-entered-her-home/460955920Investigators say a woman near the town of Katy turned the tables on a pair of intruders. She shot and killed one of them before a second man got away.
It happened around 11:30 Monday morning along Fort Bowie Court in the Sundown subdivision.
Both were armed with pistols, said HCSO spokesman Thomas Gilliland. She confronted both suspects and then retrieved a handgun and fired several times at both suspects.
"It's the state of Texas, if you're going to go into someone's home, you're going to get shot," said Cathy Hanks, a neighbor. "That's really how we are. That's just Texas."
Want to bet this isn't the home they've broken into?
Texas now has one fewer repeat offenders.

(3,477 posts)Just as effective we're told. Alternatively, she should have just given them what they wanted as no armed intruder really intends harm and they're just likely down on their luck. How uncharitable of her, how... Republican.

Bad mistake to make in Texas, last mistake ever for one of them
Now I hope the other guy is tried for murder.
Pretty gutsy(?) of her unless she had some kind of cover etc.

(706 posts)I visited the site a few times before the 2016 election and joined Dec 15th. I did a lot of reading before I ever posted, including going pretty far back in this group. Somewhere in all those post was one with a former robber saying no one needs a gun, quickly followed by replies with links to du threads with the same guy saying throw a couple of cans of soup or beans at them, wasp spray better than a gun, and defeating muggers with a bicycle wheel
