The Upcoming NRA Convention firearms policy.

Trump and Pence are scheduled to speak next month at the annual NRA Conference to be held at the Indiana Convention Center.

Shocker here: NO FIREARMS ALLOWED while the GOP God and Demi-God address the crowd regarding what I assume will be content near and dear to the attendees.

Not that I figured they would be allowed (I didn’t), but honestly, when all the NRA does is spout off about how it’s “not guns that kill people, it’s people who kill people,” at some point you have to trust your base, right? You can’t have it both ways. You can’t say your base is comprised of Trump loving patriots who understand gun safety and want to carry in public to protect themselves and others from evil-doers, yet ban the very thing you are advocating for around your most sacred spokesperson and his boy wonder. It just goes to show you- they are smart. They don’t trust their base any more than we do. Plain and simple, and oh so hypocritical.

every time they hear "hypocrite".

They love it when people call them hypocrites. It shows they're "owning the libtards".

They're actually not hypocrites. They understand that it's all about power, not principle, and they'll say and do anything for power, self-contradictions ( "pro-life" ) included.

"Guns don't kill people, people kill people" (and variations such as "guns don't kill people, people do" and "guns don't kill, people do&quot is a slogan popularized by the National Rifle Association of America (NRA) and other gun advocates.

Those attending those NRA conferences need to be sure their vehicle is tuned. Hate to learn a old beat up vehicle back-fires like Jed Caplet Model A Ford and ww3 starts among everyone....

Should be a SNL sketch where gunfire breaks out at NRA rally; suddenly everybody takes sides, takes cover, and uncorks their best kinetics.

Live Fox News crew under fire as they cover a firefight resulting from an accidental discharge at a gun rights rally. The reporter dodges fire while interviewing combatants, some who are shot while being interviewed. EMT and LE shot as they respond. The reporter herself gets shot, and sound guy jumps into frame but is also shot. Eventually it's just the camera man and the sound of gunfire. Gotta be a funny way of ending that which is true and biting.

The scene starts out slapstick but gets more bloody and macabre (think Monty Python's "Salad Days" ) as it progresses.

End scene.

...and every year I hear about folks taking except to the no gun policy (set by the venue) and blaming the NRA for that. There is plenty else to blame on ted, wayne, etc.

The NRA knows that the members are not trustworthy.

DeSantis does not trust his followers armed.

While the SS-protected folks are there, the Secret Service sets the rules.

If the general admission is required to be gun free, that is the policy of the building owner or the insurance company. The NRA has repeatedly said that if the policy was theirs then guns would be allowed.

This happens every year. If you want POTUS, VPOTUS or the former guy, you do what SS says. Also, NRA has to abide be local laws.
