Black Friday gun sales set record.

http://www.hattiesburgamerican.com/article/20121127/NEWS01/121126018/Black-Friday-gun-sale-checks-hit-record

"For the second consecutive year, prospective gun buyers joined Black Friday shoppers in record numbers as firearms dealers swamped the FBI with required buyer background check requests.

The FBI fielded 154,873 calls, a roughly 20 percent increase from last year’s previous one-day record of 129,166, according to bureau records.

...

The FBI does not track actual gun sales. But the number of firearms sold Friday is likely higher because multiple firearms can be included in one transaction by a single buyer."

This is what happens when political parties and politicians start threatening gun control.

I bought myself an 1858 Remington revolver for Christmas.

and it is American jobs, yeah. Since Smith distributes Walther in the US, and Walther distributes Smiths in Europe, it is good either way. I always make an exception for Walther, since I like and own them. IMHO, if it isn't Walther, Ruger, and S&W, it isn't. But, that's me.
