Why does NPR obediently repeat obvious distractions from the president?

Listening to NPR this morning, they’re going on about immigrants and the border and what the president and his hard-right flack Mulvaney said about it. (I won’t even repeat it— what they said isn’t important. It’s a lie and we shouldn’t dignify it by talking about it.)

So why is NPR repeating the president’s lies? Those are lies that are obviously designed to distract from other more important things.

Why is NPR helping the president lie?

1. I'll occasionally put NPR on to see if they're doing anything worth listening to, and immediately

they are failing the public. Same thing they did with bushco and Iraq. They could use a couple of real journalists.

their coverage of the Venezuela issue is pretty telling that the kocktopus is writing the script for them.

If you contribute during their obnoxious fund raising drives, you are being played as a sucker.
You are far better off getting satellite radio.

sidebar: when you count up the hours they use in their fundraising drives, it is more commercial time than regular radio
