I take issue with a statement a caller made on AM 570 WKBN in Youngstown Ohio this morn ...

(and it is sad to admit that, in the Akron area, you have to tune in to a Youngstown station to hear a progressive radio show; I can't pick up the Northeast Cleveland radio station which came on the air; they have a geriatric hamster in a rusty wheel for a generator for their "power&quot

It was obvious that the guy was a Republican (apologist), but he said that it was "obvious" that the two parties would behave exactly the same. His statement: "If the Democrats cured cancer, the Republicans would vote against it. If the Republicans eliminated drug addiction, the Democrats would vote against that!"

Of course, it's another lie. How many times have we heard about the Dems crossing the aisle (allegedly, to "break with the party&quot and voting for Republican stuff (DINOs), even while the RW radio people say the Dems are voting in "lockstep"???

Wasn't it a big coup for Republicans that DEMOCRATS voted for Bush's war? Obviously, that wasn't "eliminating drug addiction", wouldn't you think that would be a bit more polarizing than curing drug addiction???

The past 3 years have been Republicans refusing to budge a micrometre almost 100 percent of the time, yet it's the Dems who "vote in lockstep" and "refuse to vote for Republican stuff".
